ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS) – 32 CPD Points
ACLS is an advanced,Instructor led classroom course aimed at the learners practicing life saving skills, using basic and advanced equipment. The course also highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.
Audience
ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct, or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes registered doctors, nursing staff, advanced- and intermediate life support paramedics as well as final year students in these fields.

Course Content
Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills in simulated clinical scenarios that encourages:

Basic lIFE support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask devise and AED

Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia

Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) as well as STROKE

Airway management and related pharmacology

Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
Test
There is an official exam at the beginning of the course.
Course Certificate
Upon successful course completion, an ACLS course, each candidate receives a course completion certificate, valid for two years. The certificate is recognised internationally.
